This post is actually a bit late, but that’s due to my lack of foresight and preparation (I know, I know).   • Review: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

    Last night, August 2,  I finished reading Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.  And I’m not gonna lie: there was no point in the process that I actually enjoyed this book. I had a lot of problems with it, from start to finish, and it kind of irked me finding out how popular it actually was. I don’t mean to sound like a grump, or a literary elitist, but I honestly found this book ridiculously problematic.

    After finishing it and conversing with my sister a little, I decided to look up some Goodreads reviews of it, only to find an abundance of positivity and praise. So, for the first time in my life, I felt the overwhelming and undeniable urge to post a negative review of a work of fiction. And that review read as follows:
