Is your name really Ayli? (Why don’t you use your “real” name?)
Yes and no. Ayliesha is my real name, but it’s my middle name. I decided to drop the first professionally because I just find Ayliesha to be more aesthetically pleasing.

How old are you?
I was born April 18, 1998; you’re going to have to do the math, because I know I’m not going to remember to keep this updated.

Are you still writing The Diary of a Suicide?
Yes indeedy, I am. I’m currently rewriting it in the hopes I can make it better than the unplanned train wreck it was (no offense to the people who loved it). The current Wattpad draft has been discontinued, though, so you’re going to have to wait for me to release it in full. It’ll still be completely free for you to finish, once I get there.

What made you want to be a writer?
I’ve explained this in a post, actually. TL;DR – My brother did it, so I did it; I liked it, so I kept doing it. Then: Poison.

Where do your ideas come from?
All over the place, really. The sound of the automated voice on a public bus gave me an idea back in 2012, one I’m still working on to this day. A conversation between my sister and I where she jokingly described a creature with teeth like “shards of glass stuck in its gums” created the very first spark of the idea for DollFace, which was later followed up by a trip to Jim Thorpe where I saw a display of dolls that looked peaceful in person, but terrified on camera due to shadows cast by the flash. If you can stretch your mind a bit and just try to see the world in a different way, anything makes an idea.

Favorite color/animal/food?
My favorite color is, has always been, and likely always will be purple (I prefer darker and less saturated shades, though I do love a deep, rich purple as well). My favorite animal, however, has changed drastically since I was a child; now it’d probably be between the common vampire bat and the lappet-faced vulture. I don’t have a favorite food, and if you insist on asking me this and refusing to take indecision as an answer, I promise whatever answer you get will not be honest. So, you must ask yourself: is it really worth it?

What kind of music do you like?
All kinds, but most of my favorite artists are rock, alternative, indie/folk, or some sort of edgy subgenre of pop (that usually prefers not to be called pop). I don’t care much for typical country and R&B, but even those have exceptions.

Do you have siblings?
Yes, six of them. I’m the penultimate child.

Other previously mentioned facts:
– I was home-schooled online from the seventh grade to graduation.
– I was drawn to the nickname Ayli after my dad made me and my younger sister a custom Bratz doll set based off the Twilight franchise. The character he created for my doll was a comic writer (as I wanted to be) who had a series about a young alien named Ayli.
– The longest-running idea of mine (Poison) was conceived April 16, 2011, and I still fully intend on writing it.
– There were a couple other cutesy little tidbits in my Liebster Award post.

And that’s all I’ve got for ya! I guess this is it for now. Until future visits, take care!
